Empties #3

Hello, September! Wow. Time flies really fast! I cannot believe that the ber months have arrived! Before we all know it, it's Christmas again then another year. Insane!

Well, anyway. Whew. Okay. The last time I posted about my empties was waaaay back in November of last year. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year! Before writing this post, I thought I only had a few empties which is mainly the reason why I never posted an update until now. But surprisingly, I’ve emptied up more products than I thought I did which is, ugh, such a fucking achievement!

Beauty Review: ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Fox

Since I didn’t have much luck with the Lippie Stix, I thought why not give other ColourPop products a try. After all, they weren’t being raved about by so many people for nothing so I'm bound to like at least one of their products. I initially wanted to purchase their eyeshadow (esp the Where the Light Is collection by Kathleenlights) but realized that I haven’t been wearing eye makeup lately anyway so I decided on their Super Shock Cheeks—their not-so-recently released blush line—instead.

Skincare Sunday: Clean & Clear Essentials, My HG Moisturizer

It's only been 4 weeks but I must say, I am totes head over heels for this moisturizer. For someone with a mostly-oily (cause I do have combination) skin, it's pretty hard to find a moisturizer that could actually moisturize but won't make me look like a walking grease ball. I've tried dozens but nothing that performed quite like this.

Do you feel uncomfortable wearing makeup around people who don't?

I read this post on Karen’s blog and I thought it’d be an interesting topic to discuss. Do you feel uncomfortable wearing makeup around people who don’t? Well personally, I don’t. I do, however, feel a little awkward when I’m wearing in-your-face lipsticks (dark reds or purples). They’re deemed as rather unusual colors here in the Philippines so sporting them would automatically make you a head-turner—sometimes, in a negative way.

Beauty Review: QuickFX No-Shine Mattifier

I’m a sucker for any product that claims to mattify because my oily skin badly needs some controlling. I first saw these QuickFx products a few years ago at Watsons and the first one that caught my eye was the Pimple Eraser because I have problematic skin. But what I actually wanted to buy was the No-Shine Mattifier which can work over and under makeup and to retouch midday.
